Our Commitments at a Glance

Individual privacy. When spouses complete assessments independently, each person's answers and results remain their individual information. They are not automatically shared with the other spouse, including a spouse who purchased or registered for an experience.

Thoughtful handling of sensitive information. We recognize that assessment responses, spiritual practices, and personal marriage circumstances may reveal sensitive information. We collect and use such information for disclosed purposes and obtain additional consent where required by applicable law.

Meaningful recommendations. We may use assessment responses, scores, stated preferences, and expressed interests to help identify educational resources, experiences, and opportunities relevant to participants.

Discretion in public communications. We do not use identifiable assessment answers, individual scores, private marriage questions, or personal stories in public marketing without separate affirmative permission.

Responsible sharing. We do not sell identifiable individual assessment answers, scores, or private advisory information. Authorized technology providers and personnel may process information as necessary for disclosed services and lawful business operations.

Separate marketing permission. Completing an assessment or purchasing an experience does not automatically constitute permission to receive ongoing promotional communications.

Responsible assessment interpretation. Our assessments support educational self-reflection. They are not clinical evaluations and do not independently determine whether someone will be accepted into Private Marriage Advisory.

1. Information We Collect

The information collected depends on how you interact with Keeping It Lit Media. Not every service requires every category of information described below.

1.1 Identity and Contact Information

We may collect your name, email address, contact information, registration details, account identifiers, and information reasonably necessary to communicate with you or provide requested services.

Where an experience involves both spouses, we may collect information needed to associate two participants with a shared registration or engagement while maintaining their individual records.

1.2 Purchases and Transactions

When you purchase a resource, program, experience, or advisory service, we may collect the product purchased, transaction amount, payment status, purchase history, relevant agreement records, and limited payment-related identifiers.

Payment processors handle payment credentials under their own security and privacy practices. We do not need to retain complete payment-card numbers in our program records.

1.3 Marriage Assessments and Individual Responses

Our assessments may include the Marriage Stewardship Assessment, Marriage Connection Health assessments, onboarding assessments, follow-up assessments, and other educational reflection tools.

Depending on the assessment, information may include:

  • Individual answers, self-reported experiences, and stewardship practices
  • Spiritual connection and faith-related practices
  • Selflessness, service, communication, forgiveness, and grace
  • Time devoted to intentional marriage stewardship
  • Willingness to explore additional marriage stewardship practices
  • Preferences regarding privacy, personalization, biblical alignment, and practical application
  • Assessment scores, profiles, completion dates, and related internal indicators

These responses may reveal sensitive information about personal relationships, spiritual or religious beliefs, and private experiences.

Participants should provide information through the designated assessment interface and avoid disclosing unnecessary personal details.

1.4 Private Marriage Advisory and Personalized Services

When you inquire about, apply for, or participate in Private Marriage Advisory or another personalized service, we may collect information voluntarily provided through applications, consultations, assessments, meetings, written communications, and engagement activities.

This may include personal goals, individual perspectives, marriage stewardship priorities, information about a couple's circumstances, and other details relevant to considering or delivering the requested service.

Additional confidentiality and information-sharing provisions may apply to private engagements.

1.5 Events, Experiences, and Voluntary Questions

For live or virtual experiences, we may collect registration information, attendance records, display names, voluntary communications, feedback, and applicable participation records.

Certain experiences may allow participants to submit questions for educational discussion. These submissions may include sensitive personal or relationship-related details.

Where an event is recorded, relevant information may include a participant's display name, image, voice, chat contributions, or other voluntarily shared content.

1.6 Website, Device, and Referral Information

Our websites and connected technology providers may collect IP addresses, browser and device information, approximate location inferred from technical data, page interactions, security logs, cookies, and similar technical information.

We may also collect information identifying how someone arrived at our website, assessment, or resource.

Examples include referral websites, YouTube content, email campaigns, advertising links, and campaign-tracking parameters.

1.7 Consent and Business Records

We may retain records of applicable agreements, assessment permissions, marketing choices, consent language, timestamps, withdrawals, privacy requests, and information needed for accounting, support, security, or legal compliance.

2. How We Use Assessment Information and Personalized Recommendations

Keeping It Lit Media uses assessment information for both individual educational experiences and relevant internal program administration.

We distinguish between information provided to participants in their results and information used internally to understand their interests and identify appropriate resources.

2.1 Preparing Individual Assessment Results

Assessment responses may be used to calculate scores, identify patterns in self-reported practices, and prepare individualized results.

For the Marriage Stewardship Assessment, results may include insights relating to the four foundational pillars of the Keeping It LitĀ® Signature Framework:

  1. Spiritual Connection
  2. Selflessness and Service
  3. Communication in Love
  4. Forgiveness and Grace

Results reflect the information provided by the individual completing the assessment.

They do not constitute independent verification of another person's behavior or an objective determination of the quality of a marriage.

2.2 Internal Assessment Indicators

Certain assessment questions may also provide information used internally to better understand a participant's circumstances, interests, or willingness to explore additional resources.

For example, information concerning time investment, readiness for greater intentionality, prior participation in marriage-related experiences, and preferences for educational resources may be evaluated separately from the participant's foundational pillar scores.

Some information may be reflected in the participant's Marriage Stewardship Profile, while other responses or calculated indicators may be used primarily for internal analysis and recommendations.

Such information remains subject to the privacy protections described in this Policy, including applicable rights to request access to personal information.

2.3 Personalized Resource Recommendations

We may use assessment results, stated preferences, expressed interests, and relevant participation history to recommend educational resources, programs, experiences, or an opportunity for further conversation.

For example, a participant interested in communication may receive recommendations different from those presented to someone exploring broader marriage stewardship practices.

Recommendations may include resources such as Keeping It Lit Live, the Marriage Experience, communication-related resources, or other applicable educational experiences.

Recommendations are intended to help participants discover resources relevant to their interests and circumstances.

They do not imply that a participant's marriage is deficient, that a particular service is necessary, or that a specific outcome is guaranteed.

2.4 Referral Sources and Audience Segmentation

We may use information about the content, campaign, or referral link that introduced a participant to an assessment to understand their initial interests and provide relevant educational recommendations.

For example, participants arriving through communication-related content may be presented with communication-focused resources, while participants arriving through broader marriage stewardship content may see different recommendations.

Campaign information may be associated with a participant record and considered alongside assessment responses and preferences.

The content or referral link used to access an assessment does not, by itself, change the participant's underlying assessment scoring.

We may organize participants into internal interest or engagement categories to help us understand our audience, improve our offerings, and provide appropriate follow-up.

2.5 Private Marriage Advisory Consideration

Assessment information and expressed interests may help us identify individuals who could benefit from learning more about personalized services.

However, assessment scores, internal indicators, or resource preferences do not independently establish eligibility for Private Marriage Advisory.

Any potential private engagement involves a separate consideration process and appropriate participation decisions.

An assessment recommendation is not an offer of acceptance into Private Marriage Advisory.

2.6 Automated Scoring and Human Review

Certain assessments and recommendations may use predefined scoring formulas, automated calculations, and conditional recommendation rules.

These tools support educational reflection, resource identification, and program administration.

They do not constitute clinical diagnoses and are not intended to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects concerning participants.

2.7 Marketing Communications Remain Separate

Using assessment information to prepare an individual result or display a relevant recommendation does not automatically authorize ongoing promotional emails, telephone calls, or text messages.

We obtain appropriate marketing permission or rely on another lawful basis where applicable before sending promotional communications.

Participants may decline optional marketing communications without forfeiting access to assessment results they are otherwise entitled to receive.

3. Sensitive Personal Information and Consent

We recognize that some information collected through our assessments, resources, and services may be considered sensitive personal information under applicable privacy laws.

This may include information revealing religious or spiritual beliefs, private relationship circumstances, or other personal experiences.

3.1 Purpose-Limited Collection

We collect sensitive personal information for identified purposes related to providing assessments, preparing individual results, delivering requested services, supporting authorized advisory activities, and offering relevant recommendations.

We seek to limit collection to information reasonably necessary for those purposes.

3.2 Consent and Applicable Legal Requirements

Where applicable law requires affirmative or explicit consent before collecting or processing sensitive personal information, we will request the required permission before that processing.

Any required consent will identify the relevant purposes and will not be treated as blanket permission for unrelated marketing or public disclosure.

Where processing relies on consent, individuals may withdraw that consent in accordance with applicable law. Withdrawal does not necessarily affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.

Certain assessment or service features may be unavailable if information necessary to provide them cannot lawfully be processed.

3.3 Restrictions on Sensitive Information

We do not use identifiable individual assessment answers, religious-belief responses, private marriage questions, or private advisory information for third-party behavioral advertising.

We do not disclose such information publicly for testimonials or promotional purposes without separate affirmative authorization, except where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

3.4 Separate Consent for Distinct Uses

Permission to process assessment responses, consent to participate in an event recording, authorization to share individual information, and permission to receive promotional communications are distinct matters.

Agreement to one does not automatically authorize the others.

3.5 Educational and Nonclinical Nature

Keeping It Lit Media provides faith-centered educational resources and marriage stewardship guidance.

Its assessments are not medical, psychological, or clinical diagnostic instruments.

Participants should not interpret assessment results as professional mental-health evaluations or as a substitute for appropriate licensed professional assistance when needed.

4. Individual Spouse Privacy and Confidentiality

4.1 Individual Assessment Records

When an assessment is designed for independent completion, each spouse's responses and individual results are maintained as that person's information.

We do not automatically provide one spouse's individual answers or results to the other spouse based solely on marital status, shared payment, joint registration, or participation in the same program.

4.2 Individual Results Delivery

Where results are delivered by email, each participant should use an email address they personally control.

One spouse's payment for a shared experience does not independently authorize access to the other spouse's individual assessment records.

Participants are responsible for checking the accuracy of the email address provided.

We cannot guarantee the privacy of an inbox or device controlled or accessed by other people.

4.3 Voluntary Sharing

Participants may choose to share their own results or discuss them with their spouse.

Once an individual voluntarily discloses information to another person, Keeping It Lit Media cannot control subsequent disclosure by that recipient.

4.4 Joint Assessments and Advisory Experiences

Certain educational and advisory engagements may involve information intended to be considered jointly by both spouses.

Before individual information is incorporated into a couple-facing report, jointly reviewed assessment, or shared advisory discussion, the applicable experience should explain what information may be shared and establish the necessary permissions.

Private Marriage Advisory engagements may have additional confidentiality provisions addressing individual consultations, shared information, advisory records, and boundaries applicable to joint participation.

Participation in a joint engagement does not automatically eliminate either spouse's individual privacy rights.

4.5 Information Disclosed During Private Conversations

Information shared during individual consultations or private advisory conversations may require different handling from information intended for a joint session.

Applicable engagement agreements will address those distinctions, including circumstances where information is intended to remain individual or may be discussed jointly.

Keeping It Lit Media does not represent that its educational or advisory communications are automatically protected by a therapist-patient, attorney-client, or other professional legal privilege.

Information may also be disclosed when legally required or otherwise permitted by applicable law, including where necessary to address a serious and imminent safety concern.

4.6 Referring Partners, Pastors, and Other Organizations

A person or organization that refers participants to Keeping It Lit Media does not automatically receive access to those participants' individual assessment answers, scores, or private marriage information.

We do not provide individually identifiable sensitive assessment information to referring partners merely because they introduced or recommended our services.

Any separate disclosure of identifiable private information requires an appropriate lawful basis and applicable authorization.

Where referral or partnership reporting is provided, it should be limited to information appropriate for the relationship and consistent with applicable privacy requirements.

4.7 Authorized Personnel

Personnel and service providers may access private information only to the extent reasonably necessary for authorized responsibilities, including assessment administration, service delivery, preparation for authorized advisory conversations, technical support, security, and legal compliance.

Access to information does not authorize its use for unrelated purposes.

5. Live Events, Recordings, and Participant Contributions

5.1 Keeping It LitĀ® Live

Keeping It Lit Live is recorded for authorized internal purposes, including quality review, program development, operations, security, and appropriate incident records.

Internal recordings are not distributed to attendees as replays or made publicly available as part of the experience.

Participant cameras are optional, and attendees may remain muted.

Event recordings or platform records may nevertheless include display names, voluntarily enabled audio or video, chat contributions, and other information submitted during the session.

Participants receive applicable recording notices and participation requirements before joining.

5.2 Other Events and Advisory Sessions

Recording practices for other experiences, consultations, and private advisory engagements depend on the nature of the service.

Where recording takes place, applicable notices and permissions will be provided in accordance with relevant law and engagement terms.

Participation in one recorded experience does not automatically authorize recording in another.

5.3 Submitted Questions

Participants may voluntarily submit questions or personal circumstances for educational discussion.

Where questions are presented to a group, we may remove names and other direct identifiers.

However, particular details included in a question may indirectly identify the participant.

Participants should avoid sharing unnecessary identifying information.

5.4 Testimonials and Publicity

Participation in a program, assessment, event, or advisory engagement does not automatically constitute permission to publish identifiable private information.

We seek separate affirmative permission before using identifiable personal stories, assessment results, private questions, images, voices, or testimonials in promotional materials, except where otherwise lawfully permitted.

6. Who May Receive Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to authorized service providers, personnel, and other recipients where reasonably necessary for the purposes identified in this Policy.

Assessment providers, including ScoreApp where used: To administer questionnaires, calculate scores, store submissions, prepare results, and support results communications.

Website, course, and hosting providers, including Kajabi and GoDaddy where used: To host pages, manage accounts, process registrations, deliver educational resources, and support authorized communications.

Payment processors and commerce services: To process transactions, manage refunds or disputes, and maintain payment security.

Virtual-event and communication platforms: To administer sessions, manage access, maintain applicable records, and deliver authorized communications.

Authorized staff, contractors, and professional advisers: To support requested services, operational administration, technical assistance, legal review, financial records, and information security.

Analytics and technical providers: To maintain websites, understand general engagement, and evaluate permitted campaign activity, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Public authorities or legally authorized recipients: Where disclosure is necessary to comply with valid legal obligations or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Business successors: Where relevant information is transferred as part of a genuine merger, acquisition, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.

6.1 Limiting Information Shared Between Systems

We seek to limit the information transferred between assessment, marketing, customer-management, and educational platforms to information relevant to the intended purpose.

Where appropriate, summary indicators, interest categories, or engagement preferences may be used instead of transferring complete individual assessment responses.

6.2 Service Provider Responsibilities

Contracted providers that process personal information on our behalf should be subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, and security obligations.

We do not authorize a technical provider to use identifiable individual assessment answers or private advisory information for that provider's independent marketing merely because it delivers services to us.

Some third-party platforms may independently process information under their own published policies where applicable.

7. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

Keeping It Lit Media websites and connected services may use cookies or similar technologies for website functionality, account access, security, checkout, performance, analytics, and other disclosed purposes.

Certain technologies may collect technical identifiers, page interactions, or referral information.

7.1 Understanding Content and Campaign Performance

We may use campaign tracking and referral information to understand which content, websites, or communications brought participants to our assessments or educational experiences.

This information may help us evaluate content effectiveness and present relevant resources.

7.2 Sensitive Information and Advertising

Identifiable individual assessment responses, scores, private marriage questions, and advisory information are not intended to be transmitted to advertising pixels or used for third-party behavioral advertising.

We evaluate connected technologies and data transfers to determine whether applicable consent, notices, opt-out mechanisms, or additional restrictions are required.

7.3 Sale and Sharing Under Privacy Laws

Privacy laws may define the sale or sharing of personal information more broadly than an exchange of information for money.

Where enabled advertising or analytics technologies involve disclosures that qualify as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, we provide the legally required disclosures and choices.

We recognize and honor applicable browser-based opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control, where required by law.

7.4 Cookie Choices

Participants may be able to manage cookies through website controls or browser settings, subject to available platform functionality.

Restricting necessary cookies may affect certain account, registration, checkout, or website functions.

8. AI-Assisted Tools and Additional Processing Technologies

Keeping It Lit Media may evaluate technologies designed to improve administrative efficiency, organize information, support educational content development, or prepare relevant recommendations.

If AI-assisted tools are used to process identifiable assessment responses, private marriage information, or advisory records, we will evaluate the intended use, applicable provider terms, confidentiality protections, data retention, and legal requirements before implementing that processing.

We will provide additional notice and obtain permission where required by law.

We will not intentionally provide identifiable sensitive assessment information or confidential advisory records to external AI systems for general-purpose model training without appropriate notice, authorization, and a lawful basis.

9. Information Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable operational, contractual, accounting, security, and legal requirements.

Retention depends on the information category, the service provided, applicable laws, and the technical capabilities of our service providers.

The following criteria guide our retention decisions.

We review whether identifiable information remains necessary for its original purpose.

Information no longer required for an authorized purpose should be deleted, de-identified, or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable retention obligations.

9.2 Deletion Requests

Participants may request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable legal and operational exceptions.

Some information may need to be retained to complete transactions, maintain accounting records, address security incidents, comply with legal obligations, or preserve evidence related to legitimate disputes.

9.3 Connected Systems and Backups

Personal information may be maintained across assessment platforms, customer-management systems, email services, and authorized backups.

A request to delete information may require action across multiple systems.

Backup copies may remain temporarily until overwritten under the applicable provider's backup cycle, subject to legal requirements and available technical controls.

9.4 De-Identified and Aggregated Information

We may retain appropriately de-identified or aggregated information for program analysis, educational improvement, and general business evaluation, provided it is handled in accordance with applicable law.

We do not represent de-identified information as anonymous unless it meets the relevant legal and technical standards.

10. Information Security and Incident Response

We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the personal information we maintain.

Depending on the systems and services involved, safeguards may include account authentication, restricted access, need-to-know permissions, vendor oversight, and secure payment processing.

Access to individual assessment information and private advisory records should be limited to personnel and providers with an authorized business purpose.

No online system, email transmission, or digital platform can be guaranteed completely secure.

We investigate suspected security incidents and provide notifications to affected individuals or authorities where required by applicable law.

If you suspect that information has been accessed, used, or disclosed improperly, please contact info@keepingitlitmedia.com.

11. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and the laws applicable to Keeping It Lit Media, you may have rights concerning the personal information we maintain about you.

These may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of certain information; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying automated decisions; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; to withdraw applicable consent; or to appeal certain privacy decisions.

Applicable rights may also include protection against unlawful discrimination or retaliation for exercising privacy rights.

11.1 Making a Privacy Request

To submit a privacy request, contact:

Email Subject: Keeping It Lit Media Privacy Request

Please identify the right you wish to exercise and the email address associated with your interaction with us.

You do not need to include detailed marriage circumstances or assessment answers in your initial request.

11.2 Identity Verification

We may take reasonable steps to verify identity before releasing, correcting, or deleting personal information.

Verification measures will be appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the nature of the request.

We will not provide one spouse's private assessment records to the other merely because they are married or participated in the same service.

11.3 Requests Concerning Assessment Information

Where applicable law provides access rights, participants may request information about their individual assessment records, including relevant responses, scores, or derived personal information maintained by Keeping It Lit Media.

Applicable access rights and lawful exceptions determine what information must be provided.

11.4 Response Procedures

We respond to privacy requests within the time periods required by applicable law.

Where a request cannot be fulfilled entirely, we will explain the applicable reason and provide information about further available rights or appeal procedures when required.

11.5 Marketing Preferences

Participants may unsubscribe from optional promotional emails using the unsubscribe mechanism provided or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not automatically cancel an existing purchase or terminate access to a service already provided under an applicable agreement.

11.6 Advertising and Privacy Signals

Where applicable law provides rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or sensitive-data use, we provide appropriate mechanisms for exercising those rights.

We honor legally applicable browser-based opt-out signals and other relevant privacy choices.

12. Service Communications and Promotional Marketing

Keeping It Lit Media distinguishes communications necessary to provide a requested service from optional promotional communications.

Service-related communications may include assessment results, receipts, registration confirmations, event instructions, preparation information, service updates, and support responses.

Promotional communications may include information about additional resources, educational experiences, Keeping It Lit Live, the Marriage Experience, Private Marriage Advisory, and other Keeping It Lit Media offerings.

Where required, we obtain separate permission for promotional communications.

Completing an assessment, purchasing an experience, or providing an email address for results does not automatically provide unlimited permission for future marketing.

Participants may change their marketing preferences using the methods provided in the communication or by contacting us.

13. International Participants and Data Processing

Keeping It Lit Media is based in the United States.

We and our authorized technology providers may process or store personal information in the United States and other jurisdictions where those providers operate.

Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those applicable to the participant's home jurisdiction.

Where international privacy laws apply, we address applicable requirements concerning lawful processing, sensitive information, international transfers, privacy rights, and additional notices.

14. Children and Age Eligibility

Keeping It Lit Media's marriage assessments, marriage-enrichment experiences, and Private Marriage Advisory services are intended for adults aged 18 or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in connection with these services.

If you believe a minor has submitted personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

15. External Websites and Third-Party Platforms

Our websites and services may link to or operate through external platforms, including assessment providers, course-hosting services, payment processors, virtual-event providers, and other digital services.

Certain third parties maintain their own privacy policies governing information they collect or process independently.

We encourage participants to review those policies.

This does not eliminate Keeping It Lit Media's responsibility for privacy obligations assigned to our business under applicable law.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology providers, business practices, or legal obligations change.

The current version and effective date will be published on our official Privacy Policy page.

Where material changes affect the use of previously collected sensitive information, we will provide additional notice or obtain new consent when required.

An updated policy does not retroactively authorize uses that require additional permission under applicable law.
